Kitchen 5/7/10

Based on our conversations today, I think that the pantry cabinets should be moved back to there original location and the fridge stays where it is. This will be to the demise of the broom closet but to better flow with the new kitchen.

Maybe we can work the broom closet in elsewhere. Laundry closet maybe.

New Oven Configuration

Catching Up - 4/8/2010

To date :

• Kitchen has been gutted.
• Windows installed and shingled in to the outside.
• Cabinets have been nailed down short of final Venturelli visit to Horgan showroom this weekend.
• Appliances have been ordered. Scheduled for delivery May 5th.
• Counter tops have been determined and are currently out for pricing. Carrera marble everywhere. Two inch material polished on island all others to be 1 1/4" honed.

Extras to date include: Last Updated 4/28/10

• Louvered Vent at Ridge
• Historic trim at new windows
• New windows in 1st floor bath and girls room
• Rot repair at front corner soffit and corner boards
• Floor patch - The wood floor did not extend under the appliances or existing cabinets and will need to be patched in.
• Repair ceiling at dining room where there is previous water damage.
• Kitchen Sink upgrade from allowance.
• Structural work to fix existing floor where flooring is replaced.

Schedule as of today:

1. Temp sink installed and existing sink and cabinets torn out. 4/9.
2. Stair work & Rough electrical 4/19.
3. Rock & Plaster will start 4/26
4. Cabinet installation 4/30
5. Finish carpentry 5/2
6. Counter top installation 5/10
7. Painting 5/7

Update 3/17/2010

We are planning on putting in a temporary sink and hooking up the stove and leaving the fridge. I may put it all against the wall where the stove is. We will then put up a temporary wall to the right of the window next to the oven. This will allow us to take out the wall and replace the windows. I would box up and store anything that you won't need till we're done. Just keep day to day dishes and silver and pans and store decorative bowls, incidentals and cork collection.

Journal 02/04/2010

Met last night to go over the shop drawings for the cabinets. Everything was ok'd except colors.
I will go over a few other details with Scott regarding drawer beneath wall ovens and silver dividers as well as pull out shelves in blind base cabinet.

We have a signed change order for replacement windows. (2) in downstairs bath and (2) in girls bedroom.

Schedule: Project should start on 3/22 with cabinets being delivered on 4/14

~ Need to choose paint color for cabinets. Should be Benjamin.
~ Need to pick plumbing fixtures.
